Farmers who spend their lives waiting for rain often suffer losses due to natural disasters. Despite nearby dams, many villages still depend on water tankers for drinking water. The COVID-19 pandemic placed severe pressure on the rural economy. Cyclones, heavy rainfall, and unseasonal weather caused major losses to farmers. The farmer is the provider of food for the world and the true backbone of India; however, today this backbone is weakening economically, socially, and educationally. To address these challenges, Dharmanath Farmers Producer Company Limited was established to make farmers self-reliant and empowered by ensuring fair prices, direct market access, guidance in organic farming, and by increasing farmers’ income while strengthening rural development.
Dharmanath Farmers Producer Company Limited is a farmer-based organization established for the welfare of farmers. This organization was founded under the leadership of respected local leader and Sarpanch, Sambhajiraje Kudekar. Our head office is located at Ambethan Gaon, Khed Taluka, Pune (Maharashtra). Our main objective is to ensure that farmers receive fair prices and increase their income. Farmers face many challenges due to rising production costs, low market rates, and issues caused by middlemen. To overcome these situations, Dharmanath FPC was started by bringing farmers together. We ensure transparent sale of farm produce by connecting farmers directly with the customers. We provide guidance for soil preparation, proper crop planning, increasing production, and improving quality. We encourage sustainable farming practices and safe production methods.
